Ettitude is a cruelty-free, vegan and sustainable brand of bedding, pajamas and accessories. They are Australian but ship globally and have been mentioned in many press outlets.

They are revered for their “vegan silk” which is made from bamboo.

Having heard nothing but good things about them, I recently purchased several products including:

I was underwhelmed by it’s texture and silkiness. Everything was thrown in the washer immediately.

MADE IN CHINA

Let’s start with a little known fact- the label says it’s Made In China. This is not mentioned on their website.

FALLING APART

There are loose threads on every pajamas top, bottom, robe and pillowcase. There shouldn’t be loose threads on a brand new garment.

SIZE CHART IS A LIE

Perhaps the biggest issue is that the measurements on their Size Chart are just plain wrong. They say a Medium top in Women’s is 42.5” in the bust when it is more like a 35”.

Every piece ordered is off by inches and inches.

This is unacceptable.

Customers use the Size Chart to determine size, but more times than not the size will be incorrect because they lied on their Size Chart. I saw many reviewers who had to exchange their purchase because of this.

I bet ettitude counts on customers ordering the wrong size and not bothering with a return or exchange.

There is NO reason the Size Chart should be inaccurate.

CLEAN BAMBOO™ IS NOT SOFT OR SILKY

I think they must Photoshop their product photos, because on their website their materials have a sheen to them. It does look like vegan silk. But in person, it’s not shiny, silky or soft. It feels like a step down from conventional cotton.

THEY HIDE NEGATIVE REVIEWS

I received an email a few weeks after my order asking me to review them.

I gave them one star and wrote a review.

But guess what?

They never posted it.

They must not approve anything less than a five star review, because there are several reviews posted after I submitted mine that are on their reviews page.

I also tried posting a review directly to the product’s page but after clicking “submit” the review kept loading and loading and never was posted.

All they have on their website is positive reviews. Any normal company will have a mixture of positive and not so positive but everything is five stars and talks about how soft and amazing their things are.

This makes me wonder if they are writing some of the reviews themselves.

However, a week after submitting my review I received an email telling me they replied to my review.

But guess what? My review and their subsequent reply is STILL not posted on their website.

Products don’t make me happy if they check all the boxes- they need to be of superior quality and craftsmanship too. It doesn’t matter how “eco-friendly” your bedding is if its roughness will give you a rash. I don’t believe their material is really made from bamboo.

Ettitude is an example of what not to do, which is why I believe they are just greedy salesmen capitalizing on sustainability’s “cool” factor.

would i buy again?

I fortunately received a full refund from ettitude but they never even addressed each issue brought to their attention.

Obviously, I wouldn’t buy anything from them.
